I’m trying to get an effect of a text object crumbling apart. I want the look that happens if you simply apply Voronoi Fracture to a cube, assign a hard body simulation tag, and allow dynamics to do it’s thing: the cube crumbles apart to the floor (a plane with collider tag).
HOWEVER: if I do this with text, as soon as the dynamics is triggered, all the fragments of the text explode outward in every direction. I’ve tried using different collision shapes, etc. Just can’t figure out how to do it. Any suggestions appreciated!
While typing the question, I came up with a work-around. If I make the voronoi with the text into editable, then the crumbling works when I apply the hard body tag to the grouped pieces that are created. But there should be a way to do it while keeping the text object, right?
