Trying to (using dynamics) create a structure where an object sits on top of another (pointed) object and “balances” moving back and forth but never falling over. I want the objects to remain fixed together so i can move the base around and/or track it to something in order to initiate a movement and have the balanced object essentially follow.

I have tried all kinds of options using delay and spring functions in mograph but i’d rather do it in dynamics.

Currently i’m trying to use ridgid object tags and joint constraint tags, however i can only seem to get the top object to slide back and forth vs. swing and tilt.

Any suggestions or examples would be highly appreciated. I have a friend who executed something like this in maya and i would love to get the gist in c4d if it’s possible.

update: tried the phyris plugins to make this happen.

while they are a huge improvement from the standard C4D dynamics they still can’t seem to do what needs to be done.

    kindof a bummer.

    hello maya?!

no replies…guess nobody uses c4d for dynamics, huh?
