Dynamic Link required
I am running Premiere Pro CS3 and After Effects CS3. Not the Production Premium bundle. When I try to import an AE file into my PP project, both are from the CS3 software, I am getting a message that says Adobe Dynamic Link requires Adobe Production Premium CS3. I am using the File/Import command. Any suggestions? I saw an earlier similar post that copied the .exe file and pasted it into the Dynamic Link folder. I do not have a dynamic link folder.

Dynamic Link is actually a small piece of software that gets installed only with the Production and Master Collections. If you are running the apps as separate installs then you won’t have Dynamic Link abilities.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
You can still export from AE and then import the video file into PPro as per pre-Dynamic Link era. 🙂

Yes, right after I posted this, I somehow realized I was not rendering the AE project, just saving it.
Any suggestions which format to save that kind of AE project? It is basically just a title that fades in with a transparent background so I can place it over a picture. Don’t think it needs to be AVI does it?Thanks again,

Uncompressed with Alpha. there is a preset in the Queue Export settings listing.
If you are on a PC then it will be an AVI. There will be no quality loss. If you want it to play nice on a Mac the you will need to customize the settings for QT Uncompressed with Alpha (color space Millions+) the plus symbol = alpha.
