Dynamic Link not updating correctly on render
Hi guys. I’ve been having a problem with dynamic link not updating when I render. Here’s what I mean.
I’ll often make a lower third in AE and leave certain fields blank until I have more information. I’ll dynamic link to my PP sequence. Towards the end of the edit, I’ll go in and add the correct info for the lower thirds.
When I render, it renders with the old information in the AE comp. I think it’s using the AE disk cache since the only way I can fix this is to clear the AE disk cache (clearing just the memory won’t work). It shows up correctly in the program monitor and in the export settings window.
Any thoughts?

I’ve had this problem too. It’s shocking how this is allowed to happen, as it has major consequences. I have no idea how to replicate the issue, it just pops up occasionally, and every time I catch it, I wonder how often I didn’t.
Indeed, the problem may have popped up only to solve itself eventually, or I may have actually delivered old or in-progress assets to clients without even realizing it.

I’ve made it standard practice now to clear my cache and restart my computer before doing any important render that use lots of dynamic link. Other than that, no…
