  • Dynamic Link – After Effects audio disappears in Premiere CS4a

Posted by Jason Murray on January 2, 2009 at 2:26 pm

I have a Premiere CS4 project that has an AE CS4 composition with audio imported. It worked fine for several days, then today all of a sudden the audio has disappeared in Premiere. I can no longer hear it, export it, or view the waveform. When I open the AE composition it is still there – nothing has changed.

    Any suggestions/ ideas?

I think I’ve found a solution – Went into AE, made a small change and saved the file. When Premiere re-conformed the AE comp it seemed to bring the audio in correctly. So far so good.

I am having this exact problem just in cs6, I have given some clips a ramp slow mo and inside AE the audio is correct, but back inside PP, the video works but it just has the original, unedited audio.

I am having this exact problem, just in cs6. Using “replace with After Effects composition” I have given some clips from PP a ramp slow mo inside AE, and inside AE the audio is correct, then back inside PP, the video works but it just has the original, unedited audio. How do I get my audio from AE into PP?

was having similar troubles with AE/Pr dynamic link. I “replaced with after effects comp” in Pr, made A/V changes and then the audio wasn’t there in Premiere……

i just re-imported the comp in premiere from the proj tab. worked.

sometimes the dynamic link get’s caught, i think.

hope this helps someone else too 🙂

    cheers,
    Kaileen
