Dynamic Link AE 2 AE?
I need to re-use a AE Project/Comp inside of several other AE Projects and I am looking for a solution where changes inside the “re-used” part are being reflected in ALL other AE Projects that use the “imported” material. Just the way it would be possible with Dynamic Link between PP and AE.
I found a thread about this from 2009…. but it seems there was no real solution. Maybe something has changed since then?

Dynamic link cannot connect two Ae projects.
Maybe try this script?

May I mention once again how thankful I am for your continuous help.
Your always great advice has been invaluable for me over the years and saves me time almost on a daily basis!
It’s one thing to answer a question…. but you always try to go even one step further by solving the whole problem even before the next question has been asked.
One time you even wrote a small script for me as part of a solution and I didn’t even have to ask for it. This Script is STILL in constant use btw.I wish for you that your constant effort, expertise and gratefulness is noticed at the right places!
