    Hi

    I have some 2D drawings in DWG format. I use SolidWorks’s DWGEditor 2005 to covert the DWG files into DXF files. This program gives many different options when to save as DXF form.
    Some of the options;
    * AutoCAD Release 14 ASCII DXF
    * . . .
    * AutoCAD Version 2.5 ASCII DXF
    * . . .
    * AutoCAD Release 10 Binary DXF
    * AutoCAD Release 9 Binary DXF
    * AutoCAD Version 2.6 Binary DXF
    * AutoCAD Version 2.5 Binary DXF

    I want is to load the DXF files into the C4D and extrude the loaded 2D figures into 3D object. (My figures in DWG format are mainly consists of cross sections at different hights of 3D objects)

    C4D doesn’t complain when I open the DXF file but I can not see anything on my C4D screen.

    Can you share your expert advise, which version of DXF I should use for C4D and if it is possible in C4D to extrude the loaded 2D DXF figures into 3D objects?

    Thanks
