I’m curious about why the DVX100 lens doesn’t have the same capabilities as the AG-DVC30 – We own both and expected to be able to use them from the same distance but alas the 30 has much better telephoto capability (and macro capability too).
Thanks for whatever insight might be offered.

They’re different cameras…. not every Honda has the same size back window. Ya know?

    Noah has a good point.

As far as Macro on the 100, get close to your subject and keep spinning the focus ring. While the 100 doesn’t have a “macro” focus button/switch persay, it does a very good job in macro focus situations. Have you tried it?

    My thoughts.

Thanks for the input – I figured the cost of the 100 implied at least as capable a lens as the 30. We do a lot of event documentation – my camera operator insisted on buying the 100 – and basically he was right – it’s an absolutely great camera. Are there lens telephoto attachments & if so are they worth it?

Sure do a google search. One nice side effect of the camera’s huge popularity is there are many aftermarket accessories available.
