    Hi Guys
Have been researching and putting together my own inde doco for the past year and am now approaching the shoot. I have a DVX100, one of the very first models not an A or B, and have had it for a few years. Have the option of using HVX200 for a small fee and really cant decide what camera to go with. The DVX has served me well but I wonder whether HVX would be more versatile with regards to whatever platform the film eventually goes out on. If I shoot HD then at least I can down-convert to SD whereas if I start with SD up-rezing would mean compromising the picture quality.
    Any advice much appreciated

Sure the HVX has many more features and HD is superior image quality to SD. That said, film outs from SD can look great if well exposed and the P2 workflow requires a lot more capital investment than working with the DVX100. Either camera is great but make sure you have the budget to cover the increase to the HVX.
