The 1080p clip is mucked up, but the 720p clip looks lovely….

    Mucked up?
    Looks pretty good here.

on another note, does anyone know if panasonic is releasing a much
smaller/limited version of the HVX, more along the lines of the
Sony A1U in the months/years to come?

[Graeme Nattress] “The 1080p clip is mucked up, but the 720p clip looks lovely….”

If you’re referring to the H.264’s, neither was output truly properly. The 1080 clip was messed up — it’s been scaled down to 720 and the pulldown is still present. I uploaded a raw 24p, pulldown-free, properly-sized .WMV file, and that’s what someone should look at rather than the H.264.

As for the 720p H.264, that was apparently output as a 60p file, and I don’t know why they did that. It should have been output as a 24p file… I’d replace that one too, but I’m relying on the prerelease alpha version of DVFilm Maker, which works very well for 1080/24pa footage but I don’t think it handles 720p/variable frame rate yet…
