April 26, 2018 at 4:57 pmOh yes, I must give credit to Bill Davis for that picture. I shamelessly stole it from his Facebook page because I did not have the time to take a picture myself when I saw that man coming in. BTW: it was great to finally meet you in person, Bill!

I saw him at the Supermeet, filming with a DSLR and carrying around a convoluted entrapment to get some decent steady shots, monitoring and audio . I think he would have been much better off buying or renting a real shoulder camera in the first place (-:”
As a camera gearhead, I got a good laugh at this pic.
I have witnessed this in so many ways where a hammer is used on a fly 😛
I am sure many at that Supermeet were dreading the possibilities of what can go wrong.
And I hope nothing did of course. -

Same here, Ronny. I just wish we’d had more time to sit and talk. Hopefully we’ll be on the same side of the world again soon!
And feel free to use anything I post, at will. It was, of course, a spur of the moment iPhone snap from the 2018 Supermeet. (And as always, the “best” camera is typically whichever one you happen to be holding when something notable happens!)
