Hi, I have been importing Uncompressed QT’s into DVDSP for a while and not had any problems. I have moved all my files from an old WD drive to a brand spanking new Drobo and now all of a sudden the QT’s are not encoding properly? The status is yellow in the Assets not green and then I get errors when trying to build and burn? When I’ve had trouble with some files I have run them through compressor to create .m2v & .aiff files from the QT’s but I’m having the issues with movies that weren’t an issue before. I’m guessing it’s something to do with the Drobo? Any ideas? Amanda.

Drobo have their own patented format, so not for mac or pc.

That could be the reason. Does it have a 2 or 4 GB size limit, so that if you copy a large clip it segments it. Personally I would never you a drive that was formatted to anything other than Mac Extended. To back up files probably fine, as a media/working drive, not for me.
