    Hello!

Im searching for a simple way, using as few as possible programs (best only one) to author a 5.1 DVD or 5.1 Bluray, starting with a ProRes 444 Fileout with 6 Audio Channels.

I create a reference film of the ProRes Fileout in Quicktime without Audio, in order to import into Adobe Encore (Encore does not support video files with more than 2 audio channels). Then I have to create a 5.1 AC3-File in Compressor, using the ProRes Fileout as Source for the Surround Sound (L;R;C;LFE;Ls;Rs).
Afterwards I import the AC3-Audio into Encore too and start authoring.

There must be an Authoring software, which is capable of importing ProRes 4444 with 6 Channel and transcoding into proper Video for DVD/BLURAY (MPEG-2/MPEG-2 or H264) and 5.1 AC3 (maybe another established format?) in the right (or rather original – like source- )channel order .

Any ideas? Any professional Software recommended?

As you can see there is a solution but we are searching for a simple workflow for everybody (not only technology affine people).

    Kind regards
    Luca

Professional tools expect usually already encoded elementary streams. 😉
For PC world I would suggest DVDlab.
It also needs preencoded elementary streams, but it creates professional results.
