  DVDA5 Subtitles

  I created English and Spanish subtitles in a project. If I start the project with the subtitles off and then select English on the TV remote control, which is first subtitle in the list, the English subtitles are displayed correctly. If, however, I then select Spanish, the Spanish subtitles don’t show up at all. If I leave Spanish selected and go back to the beginning and start the play back again, it then shows the Spanish subtitles. If I then try to display the English subtitles using the TV remote control they don’t display. The small subtitle box on the top of the screen always shows the option I have selected on the remote control. I’m using a Sony DVD player and a Sony TV. Is there a lag time when another language is selected? I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
