  • DVDA4 – Insert Fade between main menu and Scene Selection menu?

I have a Scene Selection button on the main menu. When I select the button, I want it to play a transition before going to the scene selection menu. Is this possible? The Scene Selection menu item does not have a Destination property.

To get around this, I can create a background media file to play in the Scene Selection menu. But this is not the same thing. Because when I navigate back and forth between the pages, the first page still plays the transition affect. I only want it to play once.

Is this a limitation of DVDA? I see no work around for it.

I created a button for the transition affect and named it “Scene Selection”. Then linked it back to the real Scene Selection menu. But the problem with this, is that now there is two scene selection buttons on the main screen.

Eureka!!! I figured out a workaround. You can use the Navigation Tool to break the links, so only the new button works. Now the new Scene Selection button first plays the fade in, then it displays the original Scene Selection menu.
