Hi, I guess I must br doing something wrong. But a project (just over 1hour in length). Shot in HDV, rendered our in Vegas as DVD mpeg 2. Yet when I bring it into dvda it has so far taken 1 hour on the render section of burning the disc

If you didn’t render it as separate streams (MPEG-2 & AC-3) at the proper bitrate settings using the DVD Architect NTSC (or PAL) Architect video (or widescreen) stream template, then DVDA has to re-encode it and this would take considerable time.
Typically a 2 hr. SD project that I’ve encoded from Vegas takes around 10 min. to Prepare in DVDA.
