I’m using Vegas 7.0 and DVDA 4.0. I have created a new project to which I added two mpg files. One had the audio .aa3 file associated with it but the second file has no audio of preview (or timeline). If I try to add the file manually I review and either have soundless video or audio playing without video.

Any suggestions? Yes, both the video and audio files are named exactly the same (had that problem before).

    Hi Barry
Not sure I understand what you’re saying. I’m reading that you have 2 video files. 1 has audio and the other doesn’t?

Did you render in Vegas using the DVDA template?

If you have a video with audio, you must render that twice. Once for the MPG file and the second time for the AC3 audio. (you said aa3?). Both must have the exact name but different exctensions.

When you open DVDA and drag your video into the project, the audio will automatically follow.

    Thanks Allen,

The issue was that my default template was not set to DVDA.

No problem. Happy to help. That’s what we’re all here for, to learn as well as to teach.

    Good Luck
