In my DVDA I exchanged the MPG video file with an M2T file. Same program. No change in program. No change in 2 pages of menues. Just exchanged the video file. Now DVDA will not finish. Hangs at 99% with 1 seconds to go. I hung there for 3 hours. It says its rendering Menu Page 3. There is no menu page 3 in DVDA Only two menu pages. So it’s hanging on something that does not exist.

What’s the problem? Do I have too create an entire new DVDA file?

I am rendering out to a file. Not to disk.

I am not following your workflow, but if you are letting DVDA encode your video, then you are doing something wrong. You should be giving DVDA compliant MPEG and AC3 files from Vegas. Then DVDA should not have to re-encode anything.

Can you take a screenshot of the Project Overview window?

Can’t get a screen shot due to the time required because DVDA takes a very long time to encode M2T files. And the screenshot would only show 99% completed with 1 second to go and the clock still running.

My old workflow was bringing in the final M2T rendered project to DVDA and let DVDA encode to fit to disk. Why not encode to MPG within Vegas? When I first started with Vegas, encoding an MPG in Vegas then processing in DVDA for disk image, the ending DVD quality was crap. Strobing images, interlace line shifting. Just undeliverable. So I tried letting DVDA do the rendering and the results were 100% better. But it took 4 to 6 hours to process.

That was in Vegas 8, 9 and 10. In Vegas 11 I returned to try encoding MPGs and the results so far seemed to be up to the quality you expect on standard DVDs.

So in this current project/test, after I created my disk image in DVDA using the MPG file, I swapped it out for the M2T file to compare. That’s where DVDA hung up at the end trying to render menu page 3 which never existed in the first place.
