  DVDA: Animated .gif

  Hi,
  I developed a 30-minute still slide show using Vegas. At the timeline, for the “END” I added an animated “.gif”. When placed on the timeline, this gif occupied only 1 (one) frame, or perhaps 1.3 frames (00:29:21:24 to 00:29:21:25). I “stretched” this gif to about 4 seconds length. When played within Vegas, the animation showed up just fine, with movement etc. as it should.
  But, when the Vegas was rendered (into PAL DVD) and then used in DVDA to create a DVD, the gif lasted 4 seconds, (as was desired,) but it was “still” with no animation. This occurred usind DVDA preview, as well as on the final DVD.
  What am I doing wrong, please?
