When I create BD ISO files from DVDA 6.0, the disks that are created have no options for the so-called Pop-Up Menu button found on all BD remotes. So if the viewer goes to a sub-menu and selects, say chapter 6, and then wants to return back to that same menu, like ALL standard DVDs can and do, they can’t. There is no option in DVDA that I can find that will address the Pop-Up Menu option. The remote is looking for an action from DVDA/disk for the Pop-Up Menu. There is none so that button does nothing. So, the viewer has to go all the way back to the Main Menu, the only menu button that will work, and then have to navigate all over again, every time, to get back to the sub-menu where they were.

How does DVDA 6 handle this issue?

I thought the Pop-Up Menu button was a Java driven menu button that DVD Architect didn’t support. I believe the Return button is what you are supposed to use to get back to the previous menu for Blu-ray. It’s not like a DVD.

My Toshiba Blu-ray player does NOT have a MENU button! It has TOP MENU, POP-UP MENU and RETURN buttons. Obviously pressing Top Menu is going to get you back to the top. Maybe your menu button is really the top menu button? That’s why I hate Blu-ray. It’s to darn confusing. DVD is so much simpler for the consumer to use.
