DVDA 24p NTSC WS vs non-WS
I have several questions about the Default templates under the “Render As” dialog box. These questions relate to exporting video and audio to DVDA. “Render As” dialog box has many templates, which presents too many decisions for a Vegas newcomer. I have read some articles about the subject, yet could use practical experience and common guidelines to help me learn Vegas fast.
What is the difference between DVDA 24p NTSC Widescreen and non-widescreen?
I need to figure out if my footage is widescreen or not. This question refers to using the WS template on 16:9 footage; or footage with 480×360 resolution. My sources include mpeg, quicktime, and DV footage. Some footage needs conversion to DVDA video stream. I need to figure the best template for each clip; this desire refers to the audio and video templates.
Do you need to letterbox WS footage before applying “Render As”?
Why would one choose 24p versus traditional NTSC 30?
Can you mix and match clips with different frame rates and resolutions on one DVD?
These questions refer to creating a compilation DVD with numerous clips, which have different frame rates, resolutions, and aspect ratios. The DVD will consist of various clips for my reel, yet each clip remains as a separate movie. These questions are very simple, yet the answers will lead me to the must read topics or relative search terms when seeking information.
