He said 5.1 in a later post debe. He has to have MPEG2 playback component installed if he installed DVDSP.

i had bad ram and had to reinstall tiger recently so maybe that screwed up the quicktime though FCP seems to be running fine.

As Tom says when you install DVDSTP the MPG2 player should be installed. The MPG2 componnet doesn’t come with FC, neider with QT Pro. Any way you can buy it from the Apple web site for 19.9 US$.
