DVD Studio Pro messing up my tranisitions, making video look jittery?
I am having some repeated trouble with this and would appreciate any suggestions. I make my timeline in FCP, export a QT, put the QT through Compressor (MPEG2-60 minute High Quality Encode-all), drag those files (aiff, MP2) into DVD Studio Pro, make by DVD, “build it” in DVDSP, and then burn it in Toast. Now the problem is that my final DVDs have what I call garbage in the transitions, it almost looks like a noise filter in the middle of my cross fades. The other porblem that I am seeing is some of the video looks jittery and jumpy, as though you’ve slowed it down in a weird way and it’s skipping through the clip. This doesn’t happen on every DVD and it doesn’t happen all throughout the affected DVDs. But it happens enough that I know it’s a problem adn I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I am attatching a link to 2 stills of the “garbage” in the transitions, as it is hard to explain and imagine without seeing it. Look in the top left and right corners. You see some pink boxes appearing and some other box shapes appearing. For reference, still 1 is crossfading into still 2, and stills A and B are still taken from the crossfade. It is difficult to see the full effect with out the moving video, so I am also inlucing a link to the actual clip of the transition. Thanks.
