    Hi there,

I would be extremely gratefull if someone could help with this.

I have recently exported a movie 1hr 50min long from FCP to compressor and compressed for DVD studio pro.
    (120min High Quality)

DVD studio pro simulates movie and menus ok.

I have burned direct to DVD-R on Mac G4 using standard burning drive.(Pioneer 106)

    Problem:

    (A) DVD-R will playback erraticly- sometimes ok next time freezing , jumping break up in sound etc..

    (B) I cannot duplicate my DVD-R Movie on duplication machine. only duplicates 15mins. (i have marked copying permitted on disc)

What the hell is going on? Is the standard buring drive in Mac G4 able to handle this?

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    Sean

Recompress the video track- sounds like it did not work properly the first time.

Also audio needs to be AC3 at 192 Kbps for stereo.

Use good brand media and burn at lower speed (DVDSP always burn at the highest).

Also be sure not to use paper stick on labels. They can unbalance the DVD and also cause a gooey mess as they age.

Trying a different DVD-R brand, as someone else suggested, is a good idea as well.
