Hello, i’m new to FCP and dvd studio pro and was wondering what the simplest way is to reduce volume for the audio i place in background. I selected an AIFF music file from i-tunes and it is just too blaring. I would like to lower to -18 at least but can’t figure out how to import and export out of Soundtrack or FCP to do this. Is there a volume selector in Dvd studio pro that i’m not seeing?

Another question: i added asset (movie from FCP) and for some reason it plays (in simulator) and burns with empty space on top of video as if the video is not centered correctly. All adjustments and settings seem correct in FCP and i exported with DV-NTSC 4:3 settings. I don’t understand why there is a sliver of space.
Has anyone experienced this or knows maybe what i did wrong for asset to be misplaced?

thank you so much ..any help would be so appreciated,

    David

I dont know if you can controll audio levels withing DVDSP but what you can do is import the audio into FCP, make you levels adjustment and export out as an aiff. Then bring the corrected audion into DVDSP.
