    Hi All,

I have two quick questions which I could not find the answers too and am looking for suggestions

    1. My original videos aired on the web and so in order to get graphics to the edges of the screen I did not pay attention to screen safe areas. The original videos were 3 DV videos 720×480 and 1 ProRes 720P video. I am if I there is an easy way to adjust these videos (scale down most likely) to get the piece more screen safe.

    2. Most of the videos are still images that I used keyframes in FCP to make move – pans and zooms mostly. A couple of the images that don’t have a lot of movement get very shaky and jumpy.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as always.

    Cheers!
    Mark

Turn on your safe guides in FCP to stay within the safe zone. Make sure your keyframes are whole even numbers.

    Steve,

Thanks for the reply and I will check out the keyframe option.

As far as safe title zone – when I am working for the web there is no clipping that is experienced when using a traditional TV so it seems to me that the there is therefore excessive headroom and space below the title if using TV screen safe. Would you recommend accounting for this and then cropping during the final export for web?
