  • DVD remote ‘menu button’

This is a simple question that I hope has a simple answer. All I wish is that when the user pushes the menu button on their dvd remote that it will automatically take them to the main menu from wherever they may be in the dvd. I have more than one menu, so at the moment when I push the menu button it takes me to the last menu played. But I want it to instead to return to the main menu every time. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, so I found you can link the ‘menu remote’ on a timeline back to the main menu, but you cannot with menus. Is there a way to do it with menus? Say if you were on another menu, deep within the dvd, is there a way I can make the dvd remote ‘menu’ button go back to the main menu when pushed?

[Stephen Poleweski] “Is there a way to do it with menus?”

    No.

You can press the Title button to bring you to the Title menu, even if you are on a different menu, but if you’re in a menu, pressing the menu button always brings you back to the last playing video track.

This is how the DVD-Video format works.
