heres a question. i am working on some DVD release in Japan and that will be distributed in Europe as well… and heres the concern, since i shot it with NTSC format(U.S.A.), i know generally i need to convert it to PAL for European viewing. However since we run with such a low budget we will not be able to press PAL and NTSC DVD.

The question is whether most european counties DVD deck is multiplayable system, meaning able to play PAL and NTSC? if thats the commom case for most european citizin i am planning to release it in NTSC even for european countries.. or if that may become a big trouble, meaning most european dont have multi system on the decks??? in that case would there be any solution

Any insight or direction will be appreciated. Thanks

Build NTSC discs, they will work in PAL players
with the “PAL-60” compatability mode built in the player.

PAL players will read NTSC DVDs, but another question comes up: what about the TV ? If the TV just support 625/50, what happen with PAL player that read a NTSC DVD ?

Most PAL televisions made in the last 10 years support
    “PAL-60” mode.
