Activity Forums VEGAS Pro DVD-R to a BD-R?

    You have to re-author because the file structure of a DVD is different than a Blu-ray disc so you can’t just copy. I believe SD DVD MPEG2 is part of the Blu-ray spec so you would just need to extract the MPEG2 stream from the VOB files on the DVD and drop into DVD Architect 5 Blu-ray project.

    Correct and I doubt highly that you will find any program that will do this because 99.99% of people want to make DVD’s out of Blu-ray…. not the other way around. 😉

    In fact, I assumed that you were making a compilation disc of multiple DVD’s. Why else would you want to copy a $0.30 4.7GB DVD onto a $10.00 25GB Blu-ray disc???
