DVD-R recorder to buy?

It will FINALIZE a newly-recorded DVD in under 90 SECONDS!!

It records DVD’s at HQ (1-hour) SP (2-hour) LP (4-hour) and SLP (6-hour).
And the image and audio quality is superb.
(Even the SLP recordings are very “watchable” unlike other DVD burners I’ve used.)

No component inputs, but it has S-Video (almost as good as Component. looks great) and FireWire for direct input from a DV source.

I used mine constantly for months… no problems.

I found that most of the Philips line of DVD recorders have Component inputs and out puts
Model DVDR 615

Except… All the Philips models are DVD+R

No Problem
I make my DVD on a DVD+RW
( Rewritable are great if you mess up the first recording just erase it and start over )

Then take the VIDEO TS folder from the DVD+R and use Roxio Titanium Toast to burn a DVD-R

Simple -Quick and very High Quality

And the unit sells for about $170.00 at most department stores
compared to over a $1000 for a prosumer DVD-R machines with component Inputs

Are these units standalone or are they something you have to install into a computer?

These units are stand alone
just like an old VHS recorder execpt it records in DVD

You can even record your favorite TV shows
They are great for a quick and easy DVD of your video projects
