Is it safe to assume that an edited project that looks good on screen should have decent results when burnt to dvd if settings are correct? Ive tried multiple variations of settings to burn a project to dvd, all with the same results. looks great on mac and ipad but dvd is blown out and way too bright. Any suggestions?

    Garbage in garbage out.

Computer screen does give you the same image as a TV monitor.

You really need to monitor your FCP timeline with a broadcast monitor to see true results.

Steve is right, a broadcast monitor is a must have. But keep in mind, NTSC is the TV standard for the USA and some other counties. People like to jokingly call it “Never The Same Color”. Next time you walk into a electronics store take a look at how all of the TVs look different. Best of luck.
