DVD Quality
Hello,
I was wondering about DVD quality. We shoot MMA fights on an Cannon XHA1 in HD 60i. Capture into Adobe Primere and burn the DVD in Encore.The footage looks phenomenal in Primere and the timeline is usually anywhere from an hour to hour and a half depending on the night, but by the time it gets to the DVD, the footage is about half the quality.
I have done a blue-ray IMG burn with a shorter piece of video and the footage came out amazing but I’m guessing that probably wont fit, with a longer video. Plus, we want the fighters to be able to watch the videos in a regular DVD player so we don’t want to burn BD.
Is there anything we can do or other equipment we may need to get to get HD quality to a DVD or even just a better quality?

DVD is a standard definition format. You’re going to get a loss of resolution when coming from HD….no way around this 🙂
