DVD player jumps beyond Chapter 1
Guys,
I have a simple play button on them main menu. The play button is linked to a 3 minute short film time line. It has a Chapter 1 point set at 00:00:00:00. Now when I preview it in Encore, it plays from the TC 00:00:00:00 that’s when the film title starts. Everything looks just fine. Now when I play the finished DVD in my LG Blu-Ray DVD player, it starts almost 4 seconds into the title which cuts off the title animation by half. This is really annoying. My DVD is a plain DVD, not a Blu-ray.
Can anyone help?

this could happen because of 2 reasons:1.) the player
some players have a poor sync for the A/V-playback, so it needs a bit of time to sync the title that should be played.maybe it´s an older player as well, it would need a bit longer, because the power of the laser will decrease as well.
2.) GOP
it is a good idea to have at least 1GOP black at the start of the film, not to start with the REAL picture at the very beginning of your track.a GOP can be 12frames or a bit more depending on if you are PAL or NTSC.
