DVD playback not smooth
Hi all
I am totally a beginner in video editing. Don’t know much about technical aspects and video formats.
I am here to solve a issue. I worked on a project (720 x 576) and exported using DVD Studio Pro. The DVD is not playing smoothly. The problem is more visible during camera pans and fast actions. The tape was Sony BetaCam and was captured to SD.
Can anyone help?Thanks

Check your field order. Is final version progressive?

No, it’s not progressive. I gave the default DV PAL settings. It is interlaced; lower field first. Is it wrong?

That some times happens with some players when you have set a too high data rate.
Which are your compression setting and where are you playing the DVDs?
How long is the program?

I compressed the video in DV Pal(Default settings)
The duration of the project is around 40 mins.
But today, when I tried a small clip with Apple Pro HQ setting, it is working fine. Will check if it is the issue.
