DVD Picture size
I am making my own dvd menu. I have read many places and even in an Encore book, that in Photoshop make the menu 720 x 543 pixels. I have made the menu, but once in Encore CS3, you can see black on both sides of the screen. With title safe on, the menu picture goes right even with the outer title safe area on both sides, and the full screen at top and bottom. If I use a pre-made menu in Encore, I don’t have the black strips on each side. So what am I doing wrong?

If it’s a 4:3 menu, make it 720×480 with a pixel aspect ratio of 0.9 (there’s a preset for this in Photoshop beginning with Photoshop CS1).
