So, we’ve used these DVD templates for years. Load the template, and “specify a new location” for the single video file. Change the graphics and adjust the chapter markers in DVDA and we’re finished.

So, now we have blu-ray drives, so it’s time to change the project properties to “blu-ray” and burn a blu-ray project. But.

The menus all lead not to the chapters, but instead back to chapter 1 – the beginning. They work properly in Preview. And in my player I can hit “next” and it properly jumps to each chapter correctly.

I found an old post from June that mentions this, but I can’t find any solutions. Anyone? Why are our menus on burned blu-rays only leading back to chapter 1?

    TIA

I don’t know what to tell you. I am not seeing these issues in DVDa and Blu Ray. I can set up a chapter menu and everything functions just fine. Of course I’m not really using any older templates (what I do is usually custom done for each BD)and that may be the difference.

I would do a custom template from scratch just to test DVDa and make sure all is okay in that direction.

Yes, bdr’s made from scratch work okay. Very puzzling. But we put out several weddings a week so I’d hate to think we can’t devise a way to use a template.

About the only thing I can think to do at this point is order some bd-rw’s (inexplicably now called bd-re). But at $10 a pop, I’m not sure I’m going to save any money in the long run. Especially since I have no idea what to even test first.
