    Hi all,

First of all, I’d like to clarify, I’m not a DVD authoring professional, so the solution may be trivial. The problem: I’d like to record some DivX files to a DVD disc (_not_ in DVD/MPEG2 format, but as normal files) – so far, it’s OK. The tricky part is: I want to create a DVD menu for this compilation. So the result is: I insert the DVD disc into the computer (or into a standalone player which is able to play DivX movies too), and then the DVD menu (that I just created in an authoring program, or Photoshop, etc.) would appear. And if I click on an icon (or press start on the remote controller) the corresponding DivX movie would start. Is this possible? If yes, with what program? I neet it on a regular basis (recording home videos as presents for Christmas), so please advise the-cheaper-the-better solution.

    Thanks for all

That’s something you would do in another program like Flash or Livestage- DVDs cannot be authored with non-DVD spec MPEG codecs like DIVX
