I’m using Sony DVD Architect to make a Blu-Ray.

Everything goes great except the menu or chapter timing is off.

8 Menu items, clicking each takes us to exact 20 seconds before where we have placed the chapter marker on timeline. Can’t figure out why.

Anybody else experience this issue or have tips?

    Thanks

20 Seconds? 20Frames I can see since chapters can only start on a P-frame which occurs every 15 to 20 frames, depending on the codec you’re using.
Try moving the chapter marker on the DVDA timeline. DVDA will not let you drop the marker on an I-frame.

That might just be it. I’ll run another test now and report back.

Look at the chapter markers in DVD Architect and see if they have a yellow exclamation mark on them like this:

If they do they will be moved but only to the nearest I-Frame. You should move them manually until they no longer have the exclamation mark if you want them to stay where they are placed.

I have a test running / encoding now, but that system is pretty old and taking hours.

I’ll update as soon as I can.

    Thanks
