DVD glitches from hell
I’ve been having a problem that can best be described as a Ghost in the Machine…
a 72 minute documentary… the DVDs have digital glitches that tend to freak out a DVD player. They are not “burned” into the frames because they manifest differently when viewed again. Digital blockiness, frame overlays (part of previous frames on next frame), pixilated wonderment. The glitches are not throughout the video, but periodically show up. I’ve tried different brand of discs, different encodes, different burners, different burn speeds, different players, and the client keeps having same/similar problems. (Most of the time I can not replicate the glitches on my new Bluray/DVD player. But on one go around, I was.)
Does this ring a bell with anyone? Any suggestions?
It’s so weird, I’ve never had this problem before, and I can’t seem to shake it.
The only thing I have not tried is a constant bit rate. I’m going to try that now. Any suggestions on a data rate?Computer – Mac OS X 10.5.6
