I’m using an AVID Adrenaline and an AVID Express Studio Pro HD on PC Systems.

I’m trying to make a DVD version of a recent HD project. I digitized a DVCam downcovert from a 1080i Master then compressed it with Sorenson, and burned a DVD using DVD by Sonic. The problem is that at every cut in this DVD there seems to be a flash frame of some sort. It almost looks like half a field of black. I tried to create the DVD on both systems and both systems produce a DVD with the same problem. The DVCam tape seems to look fine before I compress it in Sorenson. I’ve made lots of DVD’s on these machines with no problems. Why would this pop up now and what could be causing it?

Also at times the image gets wavy ripples in it when there is a pan or a pull. Again this is the first time I’ve really scene a data rate ceiling cause this effect.

Any ideas, solutions or other resources regarding this issue would be a tremendous help!
