I’m attempting to burn a DVD in PP2 that consists of a photo montage with music playing in the background, using PP2’s DVD menu presets. I’m working in a DV 24P setting and using the NTSC Progressive 4:3 High Quality 7Mb CBR 1 Pass setting to encode the DVD. About 40% through the burn process, the disc pops out and I get this message, “PluginCoder error: no plugin DLL’s.” Any ideas why this would pop up?

    Thanks,

  • Try to pre transcode the original m2v, prior burn. You can do so by selecting the video clips from the project tab and telling encore to manual transcode. I wonder though if your export from PPro was 24P or are you expecting Encore to do the transcode?

  • I was assuming you were going to encore, but reread says not so. I don’t know unless it could be some setting export violation. I have exported fine with 24P progressive, but only as tests, not for final burn.

I think it’s a bug. I get the exact same thing when burning to disc from a 24p timeline. I solved it by going to Encore and transcoding there.

If you don’t have Encore, not sure what you can do. I did read somewhere that someone suggested changing the GOP in the video setting section from 12 to 15 or something like that. Can’t be sure thought, you might want to check the Adobe forums.

Maybe i’ll just take it into encore and complete the project as suggested. I was being lazy and hoping to save a step and some time. Thanks for the help.
