We currently have an older Telex DVD duplication tower that is losing DVD drives every few weeks. Need to upgrade and expand our duplication CD/DVD-R services. Any brand or vendor suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Hi Shawn,

I am going to get a tower duplicator sometime in the next six months. I was investigating building my own. A lot of the towers on the market use older model drives which sell at a premium compared to current drive models. I decided the best way to do this was to purchase a controller that supports the latest Pioneer Drives (I have a close friend who duplicates about 20k DVD’s per year and he says the Pioneer Drives are the most reliable).

So I found a controller model that supported the newest Pioneer Drives and then I looked for a retailer who sells it by searching on Google. This Ebay sellor came up:
    https://stores.ebay.com/OnlineDuplicators

He sells towers for about the same or a little less than I can buy the components for and he has 100% feedback. For example the one to five Pioneer is $499:

I think they are probably very good. All a tower duplicator is is the Case with fans and a power supply, the controller, and the drives.

    Best Wishes,

It may be a bit more expensive to buy a pre-built system but if your not that confident building your own system I would recommend Discmakers. I have been extremely happy with my discmaker Reflex7

    Hi John,

One of the main points of my post was that you can buy a ready made system for the same or less than you building your own.

Hard drives are a pretty standard option.

I purchased my second DVD duplicator from Tape Central ( ask for Jason- 877-432-tape) I had a thousand piece order and did not want to do that on my 3 burner. They are both Acard DVD towers and have been great. The new one is a 9 burner with hard drive. Jason matched the best price I could find on the net (Australian) under $1,100.. And he will do the yearly service firmware upgrades. You can’t build one for this price with the latest Pioneer drives, Hard drive, and service. I thought about building one and then I thought about having one that worked reliably.
