    Hello,

I’ve been reading through the posts here, and this topic seems to be a popular one. I can’t seem to decipher what I should be doing from the posts though, so I’m posted here.

    My goal is this:

To create a great looking DVD that has my 24pA footage and 30i footage together.

    My settings:

I shot my film on a panasonic 100dvxb using the 24pA setting. In addition, I have segments done in Flash (pictures with transitions), which were created on the computer at 30 frames/second.

I’m using PP 2.0 under the “24pA” setting.

I would love to be able to maintain the quality (or close) I see when I scrub the timeline in PP 2.0. It looks great.

My film is only 20 minutes. But after I export to MPEG-2 DVD, it just looks very compressed.

Should I be exporting at 23.976 frames/second? Should it be at 29.97? Should I export the Flash footage at 29.97, the Panasonic footage at 23.976, throw them both into Encore DVD and burn it?

What truly maintains the 24pA footage shot? I guess my question really comes down to how do DVDs work with frame rates and progessive/interlaced?

I see how Hollywood movies look, and they look great. I would love to be able to get anywhere close to that. My original footage looks that good
