    Hi I want to put my reel onto a dvd using apples i dvd software
    so im just wondering what i should render my after effects project as?
    and what is the best compression for smooth playback when people view it in there dvd players or whatever.

    This is good advice because it’s valuable to have a master high quality render from which you can make several different encodings.

    However, that said the MainConcept MPEG-2 encoder included with AE is in many ways superior to Apple’s. It is only available in CS3 on the Mac.
