    HI,

I am now making a DVD for a wedding I did in HD. This is the first time I will be doing a full length project. The total length is about 2 hours and 20 minutes. I have split the file into two parts around 1 hour and 10 minutes each. This is basically the same thing I did with SD. The difference is now I’m not sure how much of the HD I can get on a 4.7 GB DVD. I am using MPEG 2 with the HD 60i setting.

The custom setting is 25,000,000 vs. 8,000,000 for SD. Do I need to set up custom bit rates each time based on the length of the video as I did with SD? If so, is there a bit rate calculator that will do this for HD and will trying to get this onto two DVD’s (part 1 and 2) work?

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    Dan.

About 20 minutes! Why would you use a DVD for HD content? You should be burning Blu-ray discs if you want HD. Especially if you are giving this to someone else.
