I’ve been trying to get a DVD duplicated at duplicating shop and they keep telling me that my masters have been authored with an incorrect BCA flag set.
Has anyone ever heard of this?
    How do I fix it?
I’m using Encore CS6 but have also tried iDVD with the same results.
Seems to play fine on all my decks but the duplicator insists that the disc is wrong is threatening to charge extra if the problem is not corrected.

In 15 years of making DVDs, and taking part in forums like this on a daily basis, I have never heard of “BCA” and had to Google it and even now, am not clear as to what the issue is.

See description of BCA here – https://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html#3.11

Are you perhaps having the DVDs “Replicated” rather than “Duplicated”? Duplication is basically burning DVD-R copies as one would at home, while Replication involves making a glass master and pressing out copies, and sometimes copy protection is also part of the replication process. Then this BCA complaint might make more sense to me, as I don’t see what bearing it would have on basic duplication (copying).

    Thanks
