Just curious if anyone has a specific workflow that they think works really well for outputing to DVD. I’m using mostly After Effects for motion graphics and am looking for a good, cost effective solution for getting work to dvd, ie. AE to Sorenson Squeeze to DVD-lab. Does anyone have software they’re particularly fond of?

Hi, in AE I always export in uncompressed or high bit rate codec. Now, I use the last Apple ProRes Codec, but before I used to export in Animation codec: ProRes has the same quality of Animation but at lower bit rates (smaller exported files)
Then, I use Compressor (but you can use Squeeze or something like that) to obtain the MPEG2 for your DVDs.

    Regards,
    Alessio

AE CS6–>Output ProRes 422(HQ)–> Encore CS6–> Output ISO–> Burn ISO to disk using Toast and Blu-ray burner (even if authoring an SD dvd).

    Works like a charm.
