I understand how it is *easier* to have all of your audio on the one cam, I just can’t understand how folks are willing to compromise what is usually already bad sound by going to 12bit, 32K audio. It’s a significant reduction in quality. Add to it the _usual_ bad recording techniques most videographers practice, and it’s a horrible combination. Then again…I’m an audio freak. I’m also not a 24 bit/192k enthusiast, but I do want clean/clear fat audio.
Processing 12 bit/32K audio isn’t a good thing, ever. But…if convenience is more important than quality…it works.
