    Nope, not on a lot of my stuff. They are live performances so actually I have them play as soon as they are put into the drive.

    Hi,

    there’s something wrong then. Preparing a single movie dvd with compliant video/audio takes less than a minute at my side.
    What activity on your machine do you see while preparing? CPU, Disk IO?
    Is your disk healthy? (S.M.A.R.T.)
    An almost full totally fragmented disc can be a problem too, just as a dying disc which can barely read/write the surface.

    Just curious what you set your burn speed at.

    The burning speed has nothing to with prepare time.
    But to answe your question, I write them at 16x speed. 🙂
