February 11, 2014 at 5:53 amMark, you are a STAR! This error msg in DVD Architect has plagued me for years, and caused me to use other software, but your solution works like magic.
Sony should be ashamed that users have to pay to fix a systemic problem in Sony’s own software. It is a shame that their Movie Studio Platinum, which is a great piece of software, is so badly compromised by DVDA. The latter is clunky, non-intuitive, old-fashioned, and difficult to use even for experienced users. They continue to improve and update the former software (MSP), but continue to ignore the latter.
Thank you so much for sharing your solution with other sufferers.

December 15, 2014 at 3:06 amI finally figured out why this was happening. It’s not a bug. It’s a setting. Therefore, it’s not just a matter of resetting the program settings by starting it up and pressing CTRL+Shift. It wanted to recompress my videos before burning them, but the bitrate it wanted to recompressing them to was lower than the allowed bitrate as entered in the settings.
Do the following:
Go to Options > Preferences
Click on the “Burning” tab.
Check the “Minimum Video Bit Rate” setting. If it’s higher than what the program is trying to recompress your video at when you go to burn (or output to folder), change the minimum setting so that it’ll allow it.Mine was set to 5.000 Mbps. The recompression needed to go to 3.6. So, I set the minimum to 3.5 and the problem disappeared. The reason clearing the program’s cache and resetting all the settings works for this problem is because the default setting is 2 Mbps, which is usually low enough for just about anything.

April 11, 2017 at 9:01 pmAll the time wasted on this issue and I come across Mark KRUEGER’s silver bullet !
If Mark Came for a visit to England I would take him down the pub for a celebratory drink or two, three or more.
I thought I was going nuts after spending a week of my time (on and off) with this issue.
I have joined this forum, like all the others he has helped out over this mire !
Thanks Mark, I owe you more than $30 bucks !
